Film is no longer film in this ever changing world of new technology. What’s great about all this? We’ll, now the independent filmmaker can compete with the big dogs by giving the same quality product, but made at a way lower price. This could have never been possible 10 years ago and the future looks bright for independent film.
Even if you look at the distribution of movies. The new technologies are paving the way movies are brought to the masses. With the advent of digital projection, movies don’t have to be shipped to movie theaters in film cans, they can now be digitally downloaded and shown from a computer. That alone can save thousand of dollars and the quality of the picture is amazing.
A new era is upon us and the film world is a new frontier, so get out there, make movies and support independent film as they are 10 times better than anything Hollywood is producing now. Which will the be subject of another blog.

Hey FREAKS!
Where did 2009 go? The 2009 FREAK SHOW Horror Film Festival was the best year yet! We had over 30 attending filmmakers come in from all over the world, had two huge World Premieres, and at great time with horror fans and filmmakers. It was FREAKY!
We wanted to thank all the filmmakers and fans for attending and making the 2009 event so great!
2010? We are planning an even bigger, better event than ever! The festival website just received a huge make over and we are planning new and exciting things for the site as the year moves forward. We will keep you updated and informed so keep checking back.
