FREAK SHOW Horror Film Festival This horror genre festival is the brainchild of FEAR FILM President/CEO Robert J. Massetti. An independent horror filmmaker himself, Robert wanted a film festival that really celebrated the independent horror filmmaker by giving the artist a forum to show his or her work with other horror filmmakers. The festival is really a showcase of some of the most talented, up and coming horror filmmakers in the world and continues to grow by leaps and bounds every year. |

| The filmmakers that are accepted into the festival compete for the "FREAKY" Award for outstanding achievement in 8 different categories which include BEST PICTURE, BEST FLORIDA HORROR FILM, BEST SHORT FILM, BEST ACTOR, BEST ACTRESS, BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY, BEST FX MAKEUP, and AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD. We also give out a Lifetime Achievement Award to filmmakers who have made an impacted in the horror genre. The "FREAKY" Award was designed and made by legendary Special FX Makeup Artist BARRY ANDERSON. Barry has worked on such classic horror films as "Day of the Dead" with FX Makeup Artist Tom Savini, and "Jeepers Creepers 1&2". The FREAK SHOW Horror Film Festival is part of the SPOOKY EMPIRE'S Horror Convention which draws thousands of horror fans from around the world.
